Basionym: Eria trilophota Lindl. ex B.D.Jacks., Index Kew. View in CoL 1: 864, 1893 [ E. trilophota Lindl. 1858: 54 View in CoL , nom. inval.]. Types:— MYANMAR. Mon State: Mawlamyine District, Lobb s.n. (syntype: K-LINDL); same loc., Griffith 370 (syntype: K-LINDL; isosyntype: W-R 55264).

Specimens examined:— MON. Mawlamyine District : types. WITHOUT LOCALITY. Cult. Day s.n. ( K, icon. in Album 31: t. 64) .

Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.

Notes:— Lindley (1858: 54) considered this entity a variety of E. obesa , to which he had given the unpublished name ‘E. trilophota’; he did not accept it as a species. It was not validly published until Jackson accepted it in Index Kewensis.
