Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: 10 Aug 1931, Kingdon-Ward 9918 (AMES, BM, F). Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, northern Myanmar and southwestern China. Notes:— Efimov (2013: 356) confirmed P. exelliana to be a synonym of P. pachycaulon .
