Basionym: Vanda gigantea Lindl. View in CoL , Gen . Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 215, 1833. Type:— MYANMAR. Mon State: Mawlamyine District, 1827, Wallich, Numer. List: no. 7326 (holotype: K-LINDL).

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China and Peninsular Malaysia.
