Basionym: Liparis gibbosa Finet, Bull. Soc. Bot. View in CoL France 55: 342, 1908.
Specimen examined:— MON. Mawlamyine District: 1871, Parish 332 ( K). Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 82), but we have not seen any material from this area.
Distribution:— Possibly Sri Lanka, southern Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and throughout Malesia as far east as New Guinea and the islands of the southwestern Pacific.
