Specimens examined:— SAGAING. Kale District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 105) . BAGO and YANGON. Unspecified: fide Saw Lwin (2004: 4, left hand photo identified as Ascocentrum miniatum View in CoL ).

Distribution:— Central Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.

Notes:— See comment on natural hybrids under V. bensonii . There is also a record for northeastern India, but this seems to represent a different taxon.

Vanda petersiana Schltr., Notizbl. Bot. Gart. Berlin-Dahlem 7: 280, 1918. Type :— MYANMAR. Without locality, Jun 1915, cult. Hennis s.n. (holotype: B, destroyed)

Specimen examined:— WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type .

Distribution:— Endemic.

Note:— Figured in Schlechter (1934: t. 74-295). The floral sketch of a supposed isotype by Seidenfaden (1988: 200) appears to represents a form of V. bensonii . Indeed, it is possible that V. petersiana is a hybrid between V. bensonii and V. cristata .
