Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: Kingdon-Ward 7344 ( K); same loc., Mar 2009, Kurzweil & Saw Lwin KL s.n. [no. 17] ( SING) . MON. Mawlamyine District : type . TANINTHARYI. Dawei District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 89) .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India to as far east as the Lesser Sunda Islands and northwards to southwestern and southern China, Taiwan and Japan.

Note:— A photo identified as L. latifolia Lindl. in Nyan Tun (2014: 318) is probably this species.
