Homotypic synonyms: Leptorkis luteola (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 671, 1891. Stichorkis luteola (Lindl.) Marg., Szlach. & Kulak, Acta Soc. Bot. Poloniae 77: 38, 2008.

Specimens examined:— UPPER MYANMAR. Griffith s.n. ( K) . KACHIN. Putao District : 1220 m, 31 Jan 1931, Kingdon-Ward 9189 ( BM) . MON. Mawlamyine District : Parish s.n. (not located), fide Hooker (1890a: 705). Reported from Sagaing Region, Chin State, Magway and Mandalay regions, Shan State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 82), but we have not seen material from these areas .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and southern China.

Note:— Seidenfaden (1976b: 78) doubted if Griffith’s collection was really from Myanmar.
