Basionym: Saccolabium bigibbum Rchb. View in CoL f. ex Hook.f., Bot. Mag. 95: t. 5767, 1869. Type:— MYANMAR. Rakhine State: Benson s.n., cult. Veitch 40 (holotype: W-R 42844 ) .
Specimens examined:— RAKHINE. Unspecified : type. TENASSERIM. Gilbert s.n. (icon. K); same loc., Parish 279 (not located), fide Parish (1883: 199; as Saccolabium bigibbum View in CoL ) .
Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and possibly northeastern India.
Note:— Considered by some to be a small-flowered form of G. obliquus , which may be a better treatment.
