Basionym: Saccolabium intermedium Griff. ex Lindl., J. Proc. Linn. Soc., Bot. View in CoL 3: 33, 1858.

Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 84) . SHAN. Southern part: Nov 1909, Micholitz s.n. ( SING). The species was also recorded by Parish (1883: 189) based on an unvouchered list of names supplied by Hugh Low. Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 79), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and southwestern China.
