Heterotypic synonyms: Habenaria travancorica Hook. f., Fl. Brit. India 6: 135, 1890. Habenaria digitata Lindl. var. travancorica (Hook. f.) C.E.C.Fisch. in J.S.Gamble, Fl. Madras: 1469, 1928.

Specimens examined:— MANDALAY. Myingyan District : 11 Jul 2005, Khin Myo Htwe 50 ( TNS [s]), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 80). TENASSERIM. Parish 124 ( K). Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 81; as H. travancorica ), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— India, the Himalayas and Myanmar.
