Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 94) . CHIN. Mindat District : 1950 m, 31 Mar 1956, Kingdon-Ward 21903 ( BM) . SHAN. Unspecified : type .

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and southwestern China.

Notes:— Distinguished from P. vandarum (Rchb.f.) Garay by its lilac flowers and obliquely, broadly subspathulate petals, but otherwise similar.
