Distribution:— The central Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.

Notes:— Mistakenly been applied to this plant, Papilionanthe subulata (Willd.) Garay is actually a synonym of Thrixspermum filiforme (Hook.f.) Kuntze.
