Basionym: Habenaria prainii Hook. View in CoL f., Fl. Brit. India 6: 159, 1890.

Taunggyi District: 19 Aug 2018, Kim s.n., photo; Langkho District: 1830 m, 10 Jul 1911, Robertson 361 ( K) . YANGON. Central part: 10 m, 9 Jul 1948, Po Khant 531 ( AMES, RAF) . Reported from Kachin State, Sagaing Region, Chin State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 85), but we have not seen material from these areas .

Distribution:— Northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
