Distribution:— Sri Lanka, India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China, Taiwan, Japan and Malesia to New Guinea, northern Australia and the Pacific.Also naturalised in other tropical regions world-wide.
