Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: fide Aung et al. (2020: 92) [as Oberonia ferruginea ]; Bhamo District: 8 Dec 1928, Sue Koe 7925 ( K) . MANDALAY. Mandalay District: 640 m, 20 Nov 1926, Maung-Mye 3638 ( ABD, K) ; Myingyan District: Khin Myo Htwe 74 ( TNS [s]), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 83) . SHAN. Taunggyi District: Abdul Khalil s.n. ( CAL) . MON. Mawlamyine District : type. The possibly conspecific O. ferruginea was reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 84), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern and southern China.
