Homotypic synonym: Iridorkis falconeri (Hook.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 669, 1891.

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: 1295 m, 18 Jul 1953, Kingdon-Ward 21172 ( BM), ident. uncertain . SAGAING. Kale District; CHIN. Mindat District (both fide Aung et al. 2020: 92). MANDALAY. Mandalay District: Maymyo Bot. Gard. 13516 ( K) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : 1110 m, 22 Sep 2015, Baba et al. 103669 ( MBK), ident. uncertain. Also reported from Chin State by Kress et al. (2003: 84), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern China and Peninsular Malaysia.

Note:— Also reported from Myanmar by Nyan Tun (2014: 336), but the photographs is an unidentifiable fruiting plant.
