Homotypic synonym: Callista acerosa (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 654, 1891.

Specimen examined:— TENASSERIM. Parish 34 (not located), fide Parish (1883: 192). Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 71), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Malesia as far east as Sulawesi.
