Specimens examined:— UPPER MYANMAR. Anderson s.n. (not located), fide Grant (1895: 171) [as Coelogyne elata ]. CHIN. Mindat District: 1790 m, 26 Apr 2003, Murata et al. 029715 ( MBK); same loc., 17 May 2007, Tanaka et al. 051124 ( MBK, TNS [s]). Reported from Kachin State, Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay regions and Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 70; as C. elata ), but we have not seen material from these areas.

Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Indochina and southwestern China.
