Basionym: Eria biflora Griff., Not. Pl. Asiat. View in CoL 3: 302, 1851. Type:— MYANMAR. Tanintharyi Region: Myeik District , Dec 1834, Griffith 830 (holotype: not located) .

Homotypic synonym: Pinalia biflora (Griff.) Kuntze, Revis. View in CoL Gen . Pl. 2: 679, 1891.

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 74) . TANINTHARYI. Dawei District: fide Aung et al. (2020: 74); Myeik District : type; same loc., Griffith 808 & 820 ( K-LINDL) .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and Malesia as far east as the Lesser Sunda Islands.
