Distribution:— Northern India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.
Notes:— Wood (2006: 679) considered this a synonym of D. polyanthum , but it seems to differ in the lip having a distinct raised basal callosity (not a concavity). We include D. theionochilum based on the description. Dickason used the number 7221 for plants from two near-by localities.
