Notes:— This species was validly described by B.S.Williams in 1871. However, the earlier name D. schroederi B.S.Williams may be the correct epithet. The treatment of ‘schroederi’ is confusing in the literature; some authors insist it is a semi-alba form of D. densiflorum . The plant on the plate of D. schroederi Dombrain is likely from the same importation as Williams’ taxon and seems the same as what is now called D. thyrsiflorum .
