Homotypic synonym: Disperis zeylanica var. neilgherrensis (Wight) Pradhan [as nilgirensis], Indian Orchids: Guide Identif. & Cult.: 42, 1976, nom. illeg.
Specimen examined:— SHAN. Taunggyi District : 1375 m, 19 Aug 2018, Kim s.n., photo .
Distribution:— Sri Lanka, southern and northeastern India, eastern Myanmar, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, the Caroline Island Palau, the Philippines, Java, Flores, Moluccas and New Guinea. It is possible that the species is more widespread, but the plants are easy to overlook because of their frequently small size.
