Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 455−610 m, 23 Apr 1926, Kingdon-Ward 6643 ( K) .

Distribution:— Northern Myanmar, southwestern and southern China and Taiwan.

Note:— In Flora of China, this entity was considered conspecific with E. blumei (Lindl.) Schltr. because variation among the two in spur length and epichile shape were apparently continuous ( Chen et al. 2009: 56−57). Further study to confirm this is needed.
