Distribution:— India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern, southern and central China and Taiwan.

Note:— The Low and Munro specimens under ‘without locality’ were mentioned by Reichenbach (1883a: 432) in his description of the Taiwanese D. nobile Lindl. var. formosanum Rchb. f.
