Acanthephippium sylhetense Lindl. , Gen . Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 177, 1833

Specimen examined:— MANDALAY. Mandalay District: 28 Jun 1926, Swinhoe 42 ( K) . SHAN. Taunggyi District: fide Aung et al. (2020: 61). Also reported from Kachin State, Sagaing Region, Chin State, Magway Region and Mon State by Kress et al. (2003: 64), but we have not seen any material from these areas.

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern China, Taiwan and Japan.
