Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 68), but we have not seen material from this area.
Distribution:— India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand and southwestern China.
Notes:— There is apparently a Day drawing at K from the same importation as that of the type of B. alopecurus . Parish used the number 207 twice for the same species from different localities because he thought they were the same. He noted on his collection no. 207 (type of B. micranthum ) that the same plant also occurred in Ta-ok, Myawaddy District, Kayin State. However no specimen from Ta-ok was collected by him, and therefore a syntype from Ta-ok does not exist.
