Basionym: Cirrhopetalum ornatissimum Rchb. View in CoL f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 18: 424, 1882.

Homotypic synonym: Phyllorkis ornatissima View in CoL (Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 677, 1891.

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: Feb / Mar 2007 or Mar 2009, Kurzweil & Saw Lwin KL s.n. (SING, SING [s]).

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India and northern Myanmar.

Bulbophyllum parviflorum C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 152, 1874. Type :— MYANMAR. Tenasserim: Parish 305 (holotype: K; isotypes: C, W-R 2273 ; icon. Parish 2381)

Homotypic synonym: Phyllorkis parviflora (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 677, 1891.

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District: Dec 2015, Saw Lwin KSL 1085 ( RAF) . CHIN. Mindat District: 1950 m, Tanaka 20040162 ( TNS [s]). TENASSERIM. Type. Reported from Mon State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 67), but we have not seen any material from these areas.

Distribution:— Eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Bulbophyllum pechei W.Bull, Gard. Chron. , ser. 3, 9: 676, 1891. Type:— MYANMAR. Without locality: Bull 48 ( K, probable type)

Specimens examined:— MANDALAY. Pyinoolwin District: Swinhoe 85 ( K), ident. uncertain . SHAN. Taunggyi District : 700 m, Hla Maung Bros. s.n. in Maymyo Bot. Gard. 13522 ( K), ident. uncertain. WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type. Also reported from Kachin State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 66; as B. cupreum Lindl. ), but we have not seen any material from these areas.

Distribution:— Endemic.

Notes:— Considered synonymous with B. cupreum Lindl. by Govaerts et al. (2020), but we believe it is distinct.
