Nematus fuscomaculatus FÖRSTER, 1854
Nematus fuscomaculatus was previously known from Scotland only from the two female syntypes of N. strongylogaster Cameron from Kilsyth Glen and Cannisburn (both Stirlingshire) mentioned by Cameron (1878). Benson (1958) gives Populus tremula View in CoL as the host, based probably on the original observations by Conde (1934). P. tremula View in CoL was confirmed as a host by Stritt (1952) and Kangas (1985). According to Pschorn-Walcher & Altenhofer (2006) Salix is also a host, but this is unconfirmed.
