Pujoliclerus modestus Pic, 1950: 16 . Lectotype, gender unknown, herein designated (MNHN). [ BRAZIL] Jatahy, Etat. De Goyaz , Ch. Pujol, 1898 and with my lectotype label. Pic consistently does not indicate in his descriptions whether his nominal species are based on more than one specimen. Therefore, I invoke Recommendation 73F of the ICZN and designate a lectotype for his nominal species.
Diagnosis. Within the maracayensis speciesgroup, only members of this species have the entire integument light brown.
Description. Size: Length 7.5 mm; width 2.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 94 View Figs . Integument: Light brown. Head: Eyes not as wide as frons (12:15). Thorax: Pronotum quadrate (41:41), lateral tubercle prominent ( Fig. 50 View Figs ); epipleural fold gradually narrowed to elytral apex, asetiferous punctures prominent to elytral apex, interstitial spaces very arenose. Abdomen: Aedeagus not available.
Natural History. No information is available.
Distribution. Known only from Brazil ( Fig. 125 View Fig ).
