Brief description: —Shrubs 4–5 m tall. Leaf petiole 4.3–20.3 mm, blade 3.75–50 × 1–16 cm, margin entire, venation camptodromous, abaxial surface glabrous; capitula discoid, involucre 7–8 × 4.7–8 mm, campanulate, phyllaries densely puberulous; receptacle holopaleaceous, paleae 7–7.4 mm long; disc florets 40–50 per capitulum, corolla 7–8 mm long, pale green to pale yellow; cypselae 1.8–2 mm long, eglandular, pappus 35–65 bristles.

Geographic distribution: —Endemic to Mexico, in Veracruz state (NY 368343) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
