Ischnochiton feliduensis E.A. Smith 1903: 619 , pl. 36, figs 11–14; Nierstrasz 1905: 30; 1906: 151, 168.

Ischnochiton (I.) feliduensis ; Kaas & Van Belle 1990: 127, fig. 54.

Type: Holotype NHM 1903.9.17.25

Type locality: Maldive Archipelago , Felidu Atoll .

Material examined: Holotype, a dry specimen without the soft parts, 6 x 4 mm.

Remarks: This species is only known from the holotype, and has been redescribed by Kaas & Van Belle (1990). We present an illustration of the preserved holotype ( Fig. 12C) and of a detached plate ( Figs 3K–M View FIGURE 3 ), where the characteristic sculpture of the rough tegmentum with granules arranged quincuncially on lateral areas, and in longitudinal riblets on central area is clearly visible.

Distribution: Ischnochiton feliduensis is known only from the Maldive Islands.
