Perrier 11026 (lecto-, P [ P00398877 ] désigné ici; isolecto-, P [ P00398876 ]). — Paratype : Madagascar, environs d’Ikalamavony, Perrier 13121 A et 13121 B ( P [ P00398869 , P00398870 ]) .
DISTRIBUTION. — Sud du Betsileo, d’Ankaramena à Ihosy le long de la RN7; collines aux environs d’Ikalamavony.
ÉTYMOLOGIE. — Le nom candicans provient des bractées blanches caractéristiques de la plante.
