( Table 5; fig. 4 L View FIGURE 4 )

Regional distribution. ThiS wideSpread and conchologically Variable Euro-Siberian SpecieS of lymnaeid SnailS proVed to be more or leSS common in Mongolia. We found ShellS of Radix balthica in SampleS collected in VariouS waterbodieS of WeStern and Northern Mongolia. Lymnaea ovata (Draparnaud, 1805) recorded by SitnikoVa et al. (2006) from the HöVSgöl Lake Should, moSt probably, be identified with R. balthica .

Extra-limital distribution. Europe, Siberia ( KrugloV 2005).

Remark. Three nomimal SpecieS of Peregriana of Mongolia deScribed by KrugloV & StarobogatoV (1983) are probable junior SynonymS of R. balthica . TheSe are Lymnaea (Peregriana) nogoonica KrugloV et StarobogatoV, 1983 (See fig. 5 F), L. (P.) tsalolikhini KrugloV et StarobogatoV, 1983 (See fig. 5 G), and L. (P.) mongolitumida KrugloV et StarobogatoV, 1983 (See fig. 6 D in SitnikoVa et al. 2014a). We Studied the type SerieS of theSe lymnaeidS kept in ZIN (See alSo SitnikoVa et al. 2014a). The Shell characteriSticS of the three SpecieS are Very Similar to thoSe in R. balthica , and no SubStantial differenceS in the reproductiVe SyStem among them haVe been reported ( KrugloV 2005).
