Remarks. This species was described from Armenia without a more precise locality ( Hochhuth 1851). Perhaps this is Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan. Petri (1901) placed it in the genus Macrotarsus (including genera Macrotarrhus and Eremochorus in the modern sense) and had material from Turkey (Ankara). I studied the type specimen – female of this species from SMTD. It is quite consistent with the genus Macrotarrhus and may be placed in the nominative subgenus.
