Linognathus stenopsis ( Burmeister, 1838) View in CoL *
Although Linognathus stenopsis View in CoL is a common parasite of goats ( Capra hircus View in CoL ), there are no records of Linognathus stenopsis View in CoL from Malaysia, as studies on sucking lice from domestic animals and livestock are lacking (MohdZain et al. 2015). Ferris (1933) reported that the ibex ( Capra ibex View in CoL ) and chamois ( Rupicapra rupicapra View in CoL ) can also be hosts to this louse species. Unlike Linognathus africanus View in CoL , no pathogens of medical or veterinary importance have yet been detected in L. stenopsis ( Durden 2019) View in CoL .
