Distribution. Europe except its north, Russia, Asia Minor , Mt. Caucasus, Transcaucasian area, Iran.

Distribution in Serbia. N (V), W, C, E, and S (including K) (1; 2; 10; 14; 17; 21–23; 27; 43; 52–54; 56; 59; 60; 62; 68; 76; 80; this paper).

Remarks. Frequently found in Serbia. Mostly collected in large numbers on flowers of Asteraceae on meadows during warm sunny days.
