The species is reported from Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador ( Metcalf 1963a, Duffels & van der Laan 1985, Sanborn 2006b) with erroneous records from the United States ( Metcalf 1963a). It has been reported from Michoacán, Puebla, Morelos, Jalisco and Sonora ( Metcalf 1963a).
