Description. Color and external features resemble Japananus meilingensis sp. nov.. Pronotum broad, slightly shorter than length of vertex.
Male genitalia: Subgenital plate with a long caudal attenuated process, the end of process slightly swollen( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 16 – 22 ). Aedeagus shafts U-shaped in ventral view, shafts with a lamellar subapical processes; gonopore is located below the subapical processes ( Figs19, 20 View FIGURES 16 – 22 ). Connective Y-shaped with arms fused apically ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 16 – 22 ).
Measurement. Length (including tegmen): 3, 5.0 mm; Ƥ, 6.4 mm.
Type Material. Holotype 3, China: Guizhou Prov., Libo County, 21 September 1996, coll. Maofa Yang ( GUGC). Paratypes: 1Ƥ, same data as holotype.
Remarks. This species is similar to Japananus bicurvatus Xing, Dai & Li , but can be distinguished by the shape of the aedeagal shafts in ventral view and shape of their processes. It also differs from Japananus hyalinus (Osborn) in the subapical processes of aedeagus is lamellar, aedeagal shafts more slender and gonopore is located below the subapical processes.
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin words lamellosus , indicating that the subapical processes of aedeagus is lamellar.
