Material examined. 3 ex. Xiangfen River in Yubu Village , Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, China; 25.31°N, 109.20°E, July 2023 by Yue- Ming He leg. GoogleMaps

Holotype. NNUH20241001 , shell height 12.68 mm, width 6.47 mm, height of the body whorl 7.53 mm.

Paratypes. 2 ex. NNUH20241002–3 , shell height 11.42–11.75 mm, width 5.63–5.94 mm, height of the body whorl 7.38–7.5 mm, locality and habitat same as holotype .

Locus typicus. Yubu Village, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, China; 25.31°N, 109.20°E.

Etymology. The specific name " tigra " is derived from tiger stripe. We suggest the Chinese common name as " ẇü短沟ĸ ".

Description. Shell small, thick, solid, conical, yellow, with black horizontal stripes; shell comprising seven to eight whorls, surface smooth, growth lines no obvious, without spiral ribs, body whorl swollen, taking up most of the shell about 63%, with very faint transverse lines. Suture low. Lip thin, inner lip slightly thickened and smooth, coffee, outer lip purplish blue-white. Umbilicus absent.

Operculum. ( Fig. 2 P View Figure 2 )Ovate, smaller than aperture, corneous, thin, brown, length 4.01 mm, width 2.98 mm, and the nucleus located at the bottom left about 1/4.

Radula. ( Fig. 3 P View Figure 3 ) Central teeth with triangle-shaped pointed major cusp, and 4-5 smaller cusps on each side. Lateral teeth with pointed major cusp, and 3 smaller cusps on each side. Inner marginal teeth with four and outer with nine to ten flattened, rounded denticles.

Anatomy. Snout, foot and tentacles grey, with black pigmented spots. Snout broad, cylindrical, with long cephalic tentacles, tentacles roughly greater than snout in length.

Remarks. Lateral teeth have only one smaller cusps on inner side of S. tigra sp. nov., which is a significant feature that distinguishes other Semisulcospira species. Semisulcospira tigra sp. nov. is most similar to S. calculus , but can nevertheless be easily separated by the thickened and coffee inner lip, and very small shell.

Habitat and distribution. This species was collected in Xiangfen River, Yubu Village, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province. The species inhabits rivers with a depth of less than 50 cm, the water flow is slow, and the base is made of stones and sand.
