Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honour of arachnologist Nancy França Lo Man Hung, one of the collectors of the types.

Diagnosis. Males of E. nancyae n. sp. resemble those of E. ravidus and E. itamaraju by the wide, subrectangular embolus and by the simple MA without median prong ( Bonaldo 1994: figs 65, 70). They differ from both species by the simple, undivided RTA, with small ventral, proximal lamellae ( Figs 58 View FIGURES 58 , 60). Females share with those of E. itamaraju the epigynal anterior projections extremely reduced ( Bonaldo 1994: fig. 73) but are promptly recognized by the median field wider than long and by the posterior plates medially constricted (Fig. 61).

Description. Male (Holotype). Colour in ethanol: carapace pale yellow, thoracic groove mark darker. Chelicerae, endites and labium brownish red. Sternum yellow with brown margins. Legs and abdomen pale yellow. Chelicerae with 4 promarginal teeth, the third the largest, and 4 retromarginal teeth, contiguous. Tarsi I–IV and metatarsi III–IV with moderate scopulae. Total length 8.9. Carapace 4.0 long, 3.0 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.25, ALE 0.25, PME 0.22, PLE 0.23. Eye interdistances: AME–AME 0.22, AME–ALE 0.23, PME–PME 0.35, PME– PLE 0.33, AME–PME 0.21, ALE–PLE 0.04, clypeus AME 0.08, clypeus ALE 0.12. Leg and palp measurements: palp 4.8 (1.7, 0.6, 1.0, -, 1.5); leg I 17.8 (4.7, 1.6, 4.7, 5.0, 1.8); leg II 17.5 (4.7, 1.5, 4.6, 5.0, 1.7); leg III 13.6 (3.9, 1.4, 3.2, 3.7, 1.4); leg IV 16.3 (4.5, 1.4, 3.9, 4.9, 1.6). Palp: tibia slender, almost the same length of cymbium; RTA unbranched, relatively long and thin, with a basal, ventral lamellae. MA apically placed, without median prong; conductor hyaline; embolus inserted medially, wide, short, with large prolateral process and pars pendula ( Figs 58 View FIGURES 58 ̄60).

Female (Paratype, MPEG 21915). Colour in ethanol: dark yellow orange, thoracic groove mark orange. Chelicerae, endites and labium brownish red. Sternum orange with brown margins. Legs yellow, tibia and metatarsi orange. Abdomen pale yellow. Chelicerae with 5 promarginal teeth, the fourth the largest, and 4 retromarginal teeth, contiguous. Tarsi I–IV and metatarsi I–II with dense scopulae; metatarsi III–IV with moderate scopulae. Total length 14.0. Carapace 5.3 long, 4.0 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.31, ALE 0.28, PME 0.25, PLE 0.30. Eye interdistances: AME–AME 0.39, AME–ALE 0.43, PME–PME 0.57, PME–PLE 0.56, AME–PME 0.36, ALE–PLE 0.13, clypeus AME 0.17, clypeus ALE 0.15. Leg and palp measurements: palp 5.6 (2.0, 0.7, 1.3, -, 1.6); leg I 18.4 (4.9, 2.0, 4.6, 5.1, 1.8); leg II 18.0 (4.9, 2.0, 4.5, 4.9, 1.7); leg III 14.2 (4.3, 1.7, 3.1, 3.7, 1.4); leg IV 17.8 (4.9, 1.7, 4.1, 5.3, 1.8). Epigynum: median field wider than long; anterior projections extremely reduced, inconspicuous; posterior plates separated medially, both anterior and posterior margins constricted medially; primary spermathecae inconspicuous, with large fertilization ducts; copulatory ducts wide, globose; secondary spermathecae small, globose (Figs 61, 62).
