Description. Male. Head and mesosoma black; metasoma dark castaneous. Mandible with four apical teeth;

median clypeal lobe trapezoidal, median tooth straight, high in lateral view; frons coriaceous, punctate; eyes glabrous. Notauli complete; pronotal disc coriaceous, punctate. Metasomal tergite II with lateral depression composed of tubercle with wide fovea, thick and conspicuous bristles on the border of each depression. Posterior hypopygeal margin straight. Genitalia: paramere with straight apex, wide, as long as basiparamere; aedeagal ventral ramus as long as dorsal body, apex pointed, laminar, divergent, narrow; aedeagal dorsal body with two pair of apical lobes, outer lobe leaf-shaped, median folded region, dorsal pair narrow, apex rounded, slightly arched outward; basal process absent; apodeme extending beyond genital ring. Female unknown.

Variations. Apical lobes of aedeagal dorsal body very short, short or wide.

Remarks. This species belongs to the setosus species-group by having the tergal process with lateral depression with one pair of tubercles, and the lateral margin setose. This species is not similar to other species of its species-group. It is different mainly because has the mandible with four apical teeth and the paramere not arched, the aedeagal ventral ramus with the apex pointed, and the aedeagal dorsum with the outer lobe leaf-shaped.

Etymology. The epithet capelobo , cape from Tupi and lobo from Portuguese refers to a a monster-like character in Brazilian folklore. Treat as a noun in apposition.
