Length. Male: 3.4–3.5mm; female: 4.5–4.7mm.
Vertex light yellow with (usually male) or without (usually female) brown markings on anterior margin (Plate II: A & B); frontoclypeus with fuscous arcs (Plate II: C). Crown width nearly as long as 2x length and nearly as long as pronotum (Plate II: A & B). Ocelli on anterior margin of head 2– 3 x their own diameter from eye (Plate II: A & B). Clypellus tapering to apex (Plate II: C). Forewings with round apex (Plate II: A & B).
Male genitalia. Pygofer side length slightly more than width ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A). Subgenital plate with median margin straight, lateral margin concave ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B). Connective with parallel arms with distinct stem ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 F). Aedeagus gonopore large, subapical on dorsal surface ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 G, 3H).
Female genitalia. Pygofer without macrosetae (Plate II: E). Sternite VII “W”-shaped on posterior margin (Plate II: E).
Material examined. Holotype: male, China, Sichuan Prov., Batang, Mt. Wumingshan, 4000m, 13.VII.2001, coll. Sun Qiang ( NWAFU). Paratypes: China: Yunnan Prov.: 1 male, Zhongdian City 20.VII.2007, coll. Wei Cong ( NWAFU); 6 females, Zhongdian City, 3150m, 15.VII.2001, coll. Sun Qiang ( NWAFU). Etymology. The specific epithet is the Latin word “ cylindricus ” referring to the shape of the aedeagal shaft being cylindrical.
