Remarks: This species was described from specimens collected in River Nsele, near Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (former Belgian Congo and Zaire), on the abdomen of an adult black fly, Simulium sp. ( Diptera : Simuliidae ). No additional specimens were collected in the present study.
