Sinarachna nigricornis (Holmgren, 1860) View in CoL

Species in the genus Sinarchna also have a missing fore wing vein 3rs-m and the final abscissa of CU is likewise absent in the hind wing. The occipital carina is interrupted mediodorsally (FITTON et al., 1988; ZWAKHALS, 2006).

Sinarachna nigricornis has more dense, longer hairs on its metasoma and the antennae are usually entirely blackish. Its hind coxae are also blackish. The arachnids Araneus diadematus Clerck, 1757 and Araneus sturm i (Hahn, 1831) are hosts ( Araneae : Araneidae ) (FITTON et al., 1988).

First report of the species and the genus for the Netherlands; unconfirmed in Belgium.
