Erigorgus procerus (Gravenhorst, 1829) View in CoL (Fig. 5)

E. procerus View in CoL is easier to recognise than E. melanops View in CoL . The tarsi are yellowish (without any ivory patterns). The females only have red coxae, but males sometimes tend to have black hind coxae basally (Fig. 5). Lastly their antennae are largely orange/reddish, turning darker apically ( PÉNIGOT 2021, in press). This species does not seem to be rare. Some host records need to be further confirmed, but certainly used as a host is Polia nebulosa (Hufnagel, 1766) View in CoL ( Lepidoptera View in CoL : Noctuidae View in CoL ) ( RUDOW, 1917; pers. comm. W. Pénigot).

First report for Belgium and the Netherlands.
