Type locality: Tharrawaddy ( Gentili 1979).

Distribution in India: Himachal Pradesh (Kangra, Kulu, Parbatti Valley), Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu), Maharashtra, Odisha (Satkosia and Basipally Wildlife Sanctuary), Uttar Pradesh (Sandi Bird Sanctuary), and West Bengal (Kolkata).

Global distribution: Pakistan, India and Myanmar.
