Distribution in India: Himachal Pradesh (Sirmour, Renuka Wildlife Sanctuary), Manipur (Loktak Lake, Keibul– Lamjo National Park, Bishnupur, Imphal), Odisha, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh (Shahjahanpur, Sandi Bird Sanctuary), and West Bengal (Sunderban Biosphere Reserve, Kolkata).

Global distribution: India and Sri Lanka.
