Type locality: India, Uttarakhand [“ Uttar Pradesh ”], Kumaon [Kumaon, frontier thibetaine”], Laptel ( Hansen 1999a).

Distribution in India: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh (Tso Moriri), and Uttarakhand (Kumaon).

Global distribution: China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Iran, Turkey, and Russia.
