Family Epimetopidae View in CoL :
This family includes 72 species in three genera: Epimetopus Lacordaire (56 species), Eumetopus Balfour-Browne (eight species), and Eupotemus Ji & Jäch (eight species) ( Fikáček et al. 2021) ( Table 2 View TABLE 2 ). Five species of the genus Eumetopus have been reported from India; most of them were represented only by type material before the studies by Fikáček et al. (2021). Sharp (1875) contributed two species and Régimbart (1903c), Champion (1919), and Skale & Jäch (2003) the remaining species; all have recently been reviewed by Fikáček et al. (2021). Of the five Indian species, three are reported from the Deccan Peninsula, two from Himalayas, and one each from the Northeast and Semi–Arid regions ( Table 3 View TABLE 3 ).
