Distribution in India: Bihar, Maharashtra (Lonavala: Bushi Dam), Meghalaya (West Garo Hills: Bagmara), Manipur, and Rajasthan (Mandava).

Global distribution: Bangladesh, China, India, Indoensia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Palau, Philippines, Reunion Islands, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
